VERA - Activating participatory research in Citizen Science
VERA is an online platform where researchers from Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) and other collaborators can find each other to do participatory research. Partners can build projects together, find tools that facilitate collaboration among team members and discover funding opportunities to support the project’s goals.
- Collaborative Platform: support for SSH researchers in building citizen science projects with societal stakeholders.
- Finding people: a matching tool facilitates the connection between professional and non professional researchers to tackle social issues together.
- Managing projects: diverse tools available to make the management of the research projects easier.
- Discovering funding: suggestions of tailored funding opportunities for Social Sciences and Humanities.
- Transparent Communication: encouragement of the sharing of project updates and progress within the community.
The SSH Open Marketplace is maintained and will be further developed by three European Research Infrastructures - DARIAH, CLARIN and CESSDA - and their national partners. It was developed as part of the "Social Sciences and Humanities Open Cloud" SSHOC project, European Union's Horizon 2020 project call H2020-INFRAEOSC-04-2018, grant agreement #823782.
