Critical Pāli Dictionary Online
The Critical Pāli Dictionary Online (CPD) is a digital version of the "Critical Pāli Dictionary", which is a comprehensive dictionary of the Pāli language. Pāli is the language of the Theravāda Buddhist scriptures, including the Tipiṭaka (the Pāli Canon), and it is considered one of the classical languages of Buddhism. The online version of the Critical Pāli Dictionary offers a searchable interface, making it easier for scholars, students, and enthusiasts of Pāli literature to access its wealth of information. It allows users to look up Pāli words, explore their meanings, and delve into the linguistic nuances of the language as it appears in Buddhist texts.
The SSH Open Marketplace is maintained and will be further developed by three European Research Infrastructures - DARIAH, CLARIN and CESSDA - and their national partners. It was developed as part of the "Social Sciences and Humanities Open Cloud" SSHOC project, European Union's Horizon 2020 project call H2020-INFRAEOSC-04-2018, grant agreement #823782.
